During the night I thought about closing the curtains (I should have), but I didn't want to wake my husband. It's nice to have wall to wall windows, but I think it allowed too much noise to come in. The ac kicked on maybe 4 times the whole night. There was no way to put the ac on constant fan, I could not mask the sound. There is also the sound of the interstate, but that is a steady sound which is ok.
I could hear each and every one of them until about 12:30. Well, the trucks are loud when they start up and start moving. The room also faced an overnight truck stop.
By the way, the skyline offered nothing at night. We got a room on 16th floor facing downtown Memphis.
